It is one of the hacking methods that hackers use to create a fake page which is exactly like your bank login page.
The user thinks it is genuine and enters the credentials.
But these credentials are captured by the fake website page & will reach the hacker and later, the original bank page will load.
Any user, thinking it as network issue, will log in again.
The user will never get to know that his login credentials has been stolen .
To attract the users, the hacker will send fake emails like “You have won 1 million dollars or $5000 gift cards.”
They will ask them to log in through the bank credentials. And some unsuspecting users fall for trap .
So, how to safeguard ourselves from these attacks?
Here are a few tips from Praveen:
👉🏻 Never click on unauthorized link even they claim to offer 1 million dollars
👉🏻 Always check the website before login. All the secured websites start with https://
👉🏻 Fake websites look like www.fbfacebook.com instead of www.facebook.com with the same login page
👉🏻 Do not click on any suspicious / spoofing mail. Immediately delete or inform concerned IT people.
👉🏻 All the phishing emails, login pages, payment apps look the same. You should always verify before entering any details.
